With the great success of Italian Formula 4, the organizers created a new continental project in 2023 called the Euro 4 Championship, a European Formula 4 Championship.

In 2023, the championship will have its pilot project phase with 3 races. The first stage will take place in July from the 8th to the 9th at the Mugello Circuit, the second at the Monza Circuit in September, and the grand final at the Barcelona Circuit in Spain in October.

The cars used are the same as in Italian Formula 4, namely the Tatuus T-421 with Abarth engines and Pirelli tires.

Each weekend will consist of two free practice sessions, two qualifying sessions, and three races. The races will be limited to 38 competitors.
